Hello, I'm Sarah

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping adults and teens move beyond the weight of depression, anxiety, and the pain of grief and loss. If you're tired of dwelling on negative thoughts or feeling stuck, I offer a clear path toward healing and genuine transformation.

My Approach: Authentic Connection & Deep Healing

Therapy works best when you feel truly understood. My natural warmth and sensitivity mean I bring a high level of presence to every session. People who know me often describe me as a good listener who can be fully present for even the most difficult stories.

In our work together, I help you:

  • Feel comfortable and understood from the very first session.
  • Gently uncover the root causes of your emotional distress.
  • Heal past wounds so you can confidently manage your present and future.
  • Focus on yourself without feeling guilty or selfish.

Since there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach, our sessions will be specifically tailored to your unique needs and concerns, providing a non-judgmental space where you can truly be yourself.

Specialized Support for Families

Beyond individual therapy, I offer targeted support for parents struggling with their child's anxiety:

  • SPACE Therapy for Parents: I am trained in the Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) model. This treatment empowers parents to reduce their child's anxiety by helping them change the way they respond to their child's anxious symptoms.

The Foundations of My Practice

My work is guided by these core beliefs:

  • Courageous Self-Acceptance: You are worthy of love and care. Loving and accepting ourselves, scars and all, is one of the most courageous things we can do.
  • Healing Shame: We can stop feeling shame when we share our story with someone who can hear it with empathy and understanding.
  • The Power of Small Steps: Sometimes small steps in the right direction end up being the biggest steps in the end.
  • Self-Care is Generous: Taking care of yourself is the most generous thing you can do for the world.

Professional Background & Credentials

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology at Tulane University and my Masters in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles.

My diverse background enriches my practice:

  • I currently serve as a School Counselor at a private independent school in Los Angeles, giving me unique insight into the pressures facing modern teens and their families.
  • I have extensive experience working in the adoption field with both adoptive families and birth parents, which has deepened my understanding of complex family systems and identity issues.
