About Sarah Musich,LCSW

I’m a licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults and teens who have ongoing challenges with depression and anxiety. My goal is to help you stop dwelling on negative thoughts and encouraging you to see healing and transformation.

I have a strong pull towards helping and bring warmth and understanding to sessions. I have a natural ability to:

  • Understand people’s experiences
  • Help people feel comfortable
  • Uncover what’s under the surface
  • Help clients heal their past and manage the present

People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can be fully present for people’s stories, even if they are difficult.  Our sessions will provide you with the space to focus on yourself without feeling selfish. It’s important to me to provide a non-judgemental space where you can be yourself. There isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to Therapy. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.

As A Therapist, I Embrace The Following Philosophies

  • I believe that you are worthy of love and care
  • I believe that taking care of yourself is the most generous thing you can do for the world
  • I believe that sometimes small steps in the right direction end up being the biggest steps in the end
  • I believe that loving and accepting ourselves for who we are, scars and all, is one of the most courageous things we can do
  • I believe that we can stop feeling shame when we share our story with someone who can hear it with empathy and understanding

My Professional Background

I received a bachelor of science in Psychology and Sociology at Tulane University. I later went on to receive a Masters in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles and hold a license in Clinical Social Work from the state of California. I have extensive experience working in the adoption field with both adoptive families and birth parents. In addition to being a therapist, I work as a school counselor at a private independent school in Los Angeles.
